WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD The “WBJEEM-2015” examination will be conducted on three papers: Biological Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics & Chemistry (combined). Based on courses offered, there will be 3 (three) categories of examinees as listed below:
Notice regarding issue of WBJEEM-2015 admit card The admit card downloading is scheduled on 2nd April, 2015. However, it has been observed that a number of candidates have not uploaded correct photograph and signature till date, in spite of repeated requests by the Board. In order to give such candidates an opportunity to rectify their uploaded photograph and signature, the publishing of Admit Card is being deferred by one week. All such candidates who have been identified by the Board to have uploaded non-standard photograph and signature are hereby requested to rectify their mistake, failing which their Admit Card will be blocked. Those candidates who have mistakenly uploaded another person’s photograph and/or signature should also contact Board immediately to avoid trouble during examination. At this stage, candidates cannot upload fresh photograph/signature voluntarily, only if the Board rejects the image. This notice applies only to candidates who have deposited their fees within due date and are thereby eligible for getting Admit Card of WBJEEM-2015.

Note 1: For admission to Pharmacy course: Jadavpur University: Candidates have to appear for Maths along with Physics & Chemistry as “E” or “C”. Other Pharmacy colleges: Candidates may be from “E” or “M” or “C” type. In fact, candidates desirous of studying only Pharmacy in these colleges can sit for Physics & Chemistry paper alone to get merit listed under this category. Note 2: Other State candidates are not eligible for medical/dental courses. They can register only as ‘E’ type candidate. They have to sit for both papers (Mathematics and Physics & Chemistry) in order to get rank in Engineering/Technology. They may opt to sit only for Physics & Chemistry paper in order to get admission to Pharmacy colleges other than Jadavpur University, as explained above in Note 1. 2.2 Schedule of Examination “WBJEEM – 2015”:

N.B. No further examination shall be held under any circumstances for those who will be unable to appear on the scheduled date and time of WBJEEM-2015 examination. 3. Pattern of Questions and Mode of Answering: 3.1 Question Pattern: Questions will be based on the syllabus for WBJEEM-2015 as given in APPENDIX – I. In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options against each of the questions) and the answer(s) to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR. Questions will be of three categories, divided as per following table.

Category 1: (a). Only one option is correct, correct response will yield 1 (one) mark. (b). For incorrect response, 25% of full mark (1/4) would be deducted and (c). For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer. Marks will be deducted on the basis of rule enumerated in Clause (b) above. Category 2: (a). Only one option is correct, correct response will yield 2 (two) marks. (b). For incorrect response, 25% of full marks (1/2) would be deducted and (c). For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer. Marks will be deducted on the basis of rule enumerated in Clause (b) above. Category 3: (a). More than one option may be correct and marking of all correct options will yield 2 (two) marks. (b). For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect responses, net mark awarded will be zero (0) and (c). For partially correct response without any incorrect marking: Marks awarded = 2 X (no of correct responses) / (total no of correct options) 3.2 Mode of Answering: Questions must be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet). ANSWERS ARE TO BE MARKED (BUBBLED) USING BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY ON THE ‘OMR ANSWER SHEET.’ N.B. It is to be noted carefully that the candidates must fill in as well as bubble in ALL the relevant information including the “Question Booklet No” at the indicated places on both OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet during examination.

|2.||Candidates of WBJEEM – 2015 have to apply ONLINE ONLY.|
|3.||Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form available online at WBJEEM website (http://wbjeeb.nic.in).|
|4.||Examination Fees (in Indian Rupees) for WBJEEM -2015 is Rs. 500/- for single course(Engineering or Medical) and Rs. 600/-for both courses(Engineering and Medical).|
|5.||Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications of a candidate are liable to be rejected.|
|6.||The name in the application form must be the same as registered in class 12 or equivalent Examination.|
|7.||Registration Procedure: 4 Simple Steps to be followedStep 1: Online filling of Application Form:Candidates will be required to fill the online application form. After successful submission, an Application number gets generated that will be used for future reference. During form filling, candidate is also required to choose PASSWORD. For subsequent login, system generated Application No. and chosen Password will be used instead of Date of Birth.Step 2: Online Uploading of Scanned Images:• The following images in JPG format are required to upload in one-go. Partial uploading of documents is not allowed.
Step 3: Fee Payment:
• Payment by Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card/Internet Banking option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the “Confirmation Page ”.
• Payment by Allahabad Bank Challan: The candidate has to select Allahabad Challan mode to deposit the fee. As soon as he/she selects, an Challan will be generated containing specific details of the candidate along with amount (in INR) to be paid. The candidate has to take a printout of the same and take it to the Allahabad branch for making payment. After payment, candidates are required to visit again the website and enter the transaction details like journal no. , branch name and date of deposit. After successful entry, candidate will be able to print the “Confirmation Page ”.
After fee payment, candidate may download confirmation page. Candidates are not required to send any document manually to WBJEEB Board. At the time of counselling, candidates have to produce original copy of their uploaded images/certificate.
Step 4: Downloading of Confirmation Page:
Note: Proposed system will provide online facility to candidates for editing/updation of application particulars before uploading of scanned images. Once images are uploaded, Editing/ updation in application particulars will not be allowed.
|8.||Candidates belonging to other states, i.e. those who are not domiciled in West Bengal, may opt to sit for Biology exam, only for admission to Pharmacy courses in self financed institutes of West Bengal. Such candidates are NOT eligible for studying MBBS/BDS courses through WBJEEM-2015.|
